Restoration and reconstruction is the final phase of a mitigation project: repairing and rebuilding what had to be removed during water damage, mold remediation, or fire and smoke cleanup. Not every project requires this step — many losses are resolved through drying or cleaning alone, with no demolition needed. But when materials like drywall, insulation, flooring, or trim can't be salvaged, reconstruction is what returns the space to a finished, pre-loss condition.
As a licensed California contractor (CSLB #1135025), Agee Restoration Services can manage this phase directly, so you're not left coordinating between a mitigation company and a separate contractor.

How We Approach Reconstruction
Reconstruction only begins after affected materials have been confirmed dry — rebuilding over moisture that hasn't fully cleared can trap problems behind new finishes. Once drying is complete and verified, we scope the reconstruction work needed, which can range from a single section of drywall to a full room rebuild depending on the extent of the original damage.
We aim to match existing finishes — wall texture, trim profiles, paint — as closely as possible so repaired areas blend with the rest of the property rather than standing out.

Do you handle both mitigation and reconstruction, or just one?
We handle both. Agee Restoration Services can manage your project from the initial emergency response through final reconstruction, so you're working with one team for the full recovery process.
Will the repaired area match the rest of my home?
We work to match existing wall texture, trim, and paint as closely as possible. In some cases, especially with older homes or discontinued materials, a perfect match isn't always possible, and we'll discuss options with you before work begins.
How soon after drying can reconstruction start?
Reconstruction begins once we've confirmed, through moisture monitoring, that the affected materials and structure have reached a dry standard. Starting reconstruction too early can trap residual moisture behind new finishes, so we don't rush this step.
Can you work directly with my insurance adjuster on the reconstruction scope?
We can provide documentation of the mitigation and reconstruction scope that adjusters typically request. We're not a party to your insurance policy, so coverage decisions are between you and your insurer.
